One important indicator of our international reputation is our position in the QS World University Rankings, and the University has set an institutional KPI to break into the Top 200 by 2030.

We are asking you to help us move close towards to this goal by ensuring that our 2025 results are reflective of our strong international networks and links with renowned universities and industry overseas.

Improving our performance in the QS World Rankings enhances our global profile and can have a direct and positive impact on our ability to attract students and staff.

A strong ranking position can also brig significant benefits for our research communities, opening doors to new partnerships with collaborators across the world and providing opportunities to capture the attention of government policymakers as well as access to new funding streams.

How it works

Each year, QS invites universities to submit contracts to be included in these surveys. 

The results of these surveys play a key role in shaping Loughborough's overall ranking position. Academic Reputation is the most influential metric, accounting for 30% of the overall score, while Employer Reputation is weighted at 15%.

Responses to these surveys also contribute to the QS World University Subject Rankings where their weightings differ according to subject area.

How you can help

Each school has an International Champion who is responsible for identifying and updating key contacts to take part in the next round of the QS Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation Surveys.
