The festival is free and will involve several days of creative writing, screenings, readings and many more immersive experiences for all ages. The festival is open to the Loughborough community with events taking place on campus and in Loughborough town centre.
Each year students on the master’s course ‘Creative Writing and the Writing Industries’ undertake a project-based module called ‘Writing in the Community’. During this module, students collectively plan, curate, promote, and hold a literary festival funded and supported by LU Arts.
festival aims to celebrate eccentricity and non-conformity in a climate that opts to push diversity to the sidelines.
