  • Call for Participants: A Survey on Students' Well-being

    I am a PhD student in the School of Sport, Exercise, and Health Sciences. I am currently seeking to recruit students attending universities in England to participate in my doctoral research, which aims to explore how we might promote student mental well-being. I am conducting a survey at present examining student perspectives on social anxiety, body esteem, and the acceptability of dance as an intervention for promoting mental well-being.

  • The Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡

    The GLAD ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ is a project set up to explore risk factors in individuals who have experienced depression and/or anxiety, including those with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, OCD, or related disorders, at any time in their lives. It aims to better understand depression and anxiety in order to find and develop more effective treatments. The GLAD ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ is also part of the NIHR BioResource, which is a library of information about people’s health aiming to support research in both physical and mental health.

    We are still recruiting participants to participate in our unique intervention research, which exploring the mechanism of cross-education of strength from neuromuscular physiology perspectives. What is Cross-Education of Strength? Cross-education of strength is a phenomenon where training one limb can lead to strength gains in the untrained, opposite limb. This fascinating effect has potential applications in rehabilitation, sports training, and overall fitness improvement.
