Research and expertise

I am Doctoral Candidate at 探花精选, specializing in the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and sustainability in building services applications. My research focuses on leveraging AI technologies to efficiently predict the effects of degradation and bacteria development in a closed loop polymeric HVAC system.

I have a strong foundation in machine learning, data analysis, and environmental science. I am also committed to advancing knowledge in this critical field and contributing to the creation of a more sustainable future.

Current research activity

  • Performance Monitoring of Polymeric Pipe Network in Building Services Application Using IR Thermography Diagnostics

Recently completed research projects

  • Analysing the Viability of the Implementation of a Digital Twin in Predicting the Failure of an Air Handling Unit Supply Fan for an Existing Office Building. (MsC Thesis)

Profile

I previously worked as a mechanical BIM engineer in Nigeria with 6+ years of experience in modelling, federation, clash detection, mechanical cooling design processes, water distribution design and selection of equipment. It was here that my passion for emerging sustainable building solutions came into view.

I finished my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (BsC) from the University of Liverpool, then went on to complete a masters (MSc)in Low Energy Building Services Engineering from 探花精选. During my masters degree I realised the key role building engineers have to play in protecting the earth from global warming. This changed the way I view the engineering and peaked my interest in sustainable practices. I became a member of the Training and Certification team for the Green Building Council of Nigeria (GBCN) in order to spread my knowledge and eventually make a difference.
