Discover Campus Sculpture Tour
Get to know our campus through our sculpture collection on a lunchtime walk focusing on Central and East Parks.
About this event
Starting outside the main entrance to Edward Herbert Building (EHB)
Finishing at East Entrance (Epinal Way)
New to the University? Been here a while but want to know more about campus? Or just fancy a break from the lecture theatre or office? We’ve got the ideal walk for you! Led by University Curator David Bell, it will make its way from the centre of campus down to East Park.
We’ll stop and take in some of our wonderful sculptures. This will include a work by a Ghanian artist who made Loughborough his home, a gigantic sculpture made from rare Swedish rock, and a couple of hard-to-find gems. This event is a great way to find out more about the layout and history of the campus and University!
There are a limited number of places available for members of the public who would like to explore our campus and sculptures too.
A walk focusing on works in Central Park, Village Park and West Park will take place the week before (Wednesday 9 October). .
Accessibility
The tour will be step-free and stick to paved areas. If you have any specific access requirements then please contact LUArts@lboro.ac.uk in advance of your visit and we will do our best to accommodate them.
